[Librilla will have six more officers on its staff through the Community's "Local Police Aid Program 2021-2025" (25/01/2021)

The general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies, Antonio Luis Mula, today held a videoconference with the mayor of Librilla, Tomás Baño, to discuss matters related to the Local Police force and the municipality's Civil Protection service, and announced that the City Council of Librilla will increase its staff of local police officers by six agents, from five to eleven. "This means that you will be able to have a local police service 24 hours a day throughout the year, all with financial support linked to the 'Aid program for local police in the municipalities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia 2021 -2025 '", explained the general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies. The municipality goes from receiving 60,000 euros to 287,500 euros, due to the increase in population, since it currently has more than 5,300 inhabitants. The new program, endowed with 94.2 million euros, articulates the necessary mechanisms to promote the creation, by the municipalities, of 600 new personnel in the next five years, until reaching 2,850 agents among the 45 municipalities of the Region .
