With this agreement there are already thirty-five locations in the Region that have permanent university extension offices
The University of Murcia and the City Council of Librilla have signed this Thursday a collaboration agreement for the creation of a permanent university extension headquarters in the municipality.
As explained by Alicia Rubio, promoter of the agreement and vice-chancellor for Employment, Entrepreneurship and Society, "the permanent headquarters are an open window of the University of Murcia in the different municipalities of the Region, which allow cultural, sports activities , research, dissemination and transfer of knowledge ".
He also thanked the predisposition and commitment of the mayor of Librilla and María Dolores Guillamón, a professor at the UMU who will be in charge of directing this permanent headquarters.
For his part, Francisco Rubio, mayor of Librilla, has been proud of the opportunity offered by the University of Murcia to implement the permanent headquarters in the municipality, something that "will benefit both institutions and promote activities for the entire population in as a whole, "he said.
Rector Luján has closed the event, who pointed out that, with this, there are already 35 permanent headquarters of the UMU.
He also stated that the University of Murcia must be at the service of the million and a half citizens of the Region and, therefore, "we have the firm intention of reaching all the municipalities of the Region" through permanent headquarters.
