Three mayors, musicians, teachers and local teachers with an outstanding artistic work will have a street in the municipality (05/06/2018)

Next Friday, June 8, the eve of the celebration of the Day of the Region, the City Council of Librilla will pay tribute to prominent figures of the municipality, who are joined by the Murcian painter José María Párraga and Cartagena writer Carmen Conde, through a act in which the granting of new streets in the town will be made public, which were approved in the full plenary session of November 2017 within the framework of the definitive approval of the Pedregalejo B Urbanization Project.

With this act it is tried to put in value the work and the delivery of local personages well in the societal scope, well in the scope of the arts, as well as to leave a memory of the same in the collective memory of the municipality.

Special mention also requires the work of a woman, Josefa "la Mata", deceased without descendants and without a known family, midwife, helped the delivery of the majority of Librilla's neighbors for decades, there are still people that the day of Los Saints, leave flowers on his grave in memory of the person who helped them come into the world.

José María Lara Martínez, the first democratic mayor of the town, to which the late Juan Porras Vicente adds, and José Martínez Cerón, will be part of the municipality's road.

Recognition also to the favorite daughter of the locality, the teacher Maria del Carmen Melendreras Gimeno, and to the local artists José María López Otálora and Antonio Soto Alcón

The teacher Ciprinao Galea, a native of Librilla, a great unknown in the municipality, will also receive an act of recognition in the town that saw him born, for his great work in education developed in La Ñora, has the first monument in honor to a teacher in the municipality in which he taught.

The institutional act of granting streets, which will be held on June 8, at 8 pm at the Municipal Auditorium, will be attended by the honorees and the relatives of the deceased who will address the attendees in gratitude for This honor is granted, and will end with a Concert offered by the Symphonic Band. "Las Musas" cultural music group from Guadalupe, in memory of one of the people who will receive public recognition that day, the local musician José Hernández Hernández (José "el ugio" ), trombone in the Municipal Band of Librilla Association "Friends of Art", which, he dedicated his free afternoons, after a hard day in the field, to teach solfeo of altruistic form, to the inhabitants of the municipality that went to the School of music.
